The first 2D Super Mario game in about 20 years, New Super Mario Bros. made flat cool again. But it isn't interested in just reciting old classics. New Super Mario Bros. is much more concerned with creating new classics of its own. Mario and Peach are taking a walk when suddenly, trouble strikes at Peach's Castle. Mario runs over to investigate, and while he's gone, Bowser Jr. kidnaps the princess. Platforming euphoria commences in a game that adds 3D Mario mechanics to the classic 2D template.
