Need for Speed: Most Wanted Streamlines Customization with Open-World Gameplay (Interview) - E3 2012

The Need for Speed franchise has been the home of many riveting memories in gamer's careers since its debut in 1994 on the 3DO. Need for Speed: Most Wanted looks to take the franchise to a level in which no other racer has reached with a collection of incredible gameplay, stunning open-world environments, endless customization and more. Leaked right before the start of E3 2012, many gamers feel that the Need for Speed franchise has become stale and is often referred to as the Call of Duty of racing games, but after speaking with the teams over at Electronic Arts and Criterion Games, I beg to differ.

Criterion Games, the same developer behind the incredible 2008 release, Burnout Paradise is prepared to bring the Need for Speed franchise back to life and deliver a racing experience that cannot be found anywhere else. Taking the key elements of the Need for Speed franchise and implementing them after fine-tuning them tremendously is Criterion's mission statement and after checking it out at E3 last week, I must say I am blown away.

With an October 30th release announced, Need for Speed: Most Wanted is set to deliver an enticing, heart-pounding experience this holiday season, but until then, check out my interview with Jim Ferris, Marketing Director of Electronic Arts at E3 2012.
