Silent Hill: Book of Memories Ventures New Path on Vita (Interview) - E3 2012
  • 12 years ago
The Silent Hill franchise has come a long way since its debut on the original Sony PlayStation console. With over ten releases on more than five platforms, for the very first time, Konami is preparing for the franchise's debut launch on the PlayStation Vita. Developed by WayForward Technologies the same studio that created Contra 4 and LIT, Silent Hill: Book of Memories will focus heavily on connectivity and overhead multiplayer action for up to four players.

Based heavily on puzzles in a top-down view, Silent Hill: Book of Memories takes place in auto-generated zones where challenges are presented. Players must complete these challenges to obtain puzzle pieces which are used to solve puzzles allowing you to move onto the next zone. While this style is unique compared to its predecessors, Konami pledges to staying true to the Silent Hill franchise.

During our tour of Konami at E3 2012, Amie Lynn, correspondent of The Gamer Access, spoke with Tomm Hulett, Producer of Silent Hill: Book of Memories to learn more about its upcoming release on the PlayStation Vita.
