LittleBigPlanet Gives Birth to Play, Create, Share on PlayStation Vita (Interview) - E3 2012

LittleBigPlanet was a hit when it debuted on the PlayStation 3 in 2008 giving birth to the "Play, Create, Share" genre. Since its 2008 release, Sackboy has made a second appearance on the PlayStation 3, debut on the PlayStation Portable (PSP), and later this year, the PlayStation Vita. Delivering the complete LittleBigPlanet experience that gamers have come to know on the PlayStation 3, Sackboy is preparing to debut on its third platform and take advantage of the PlayStation Vita's hardware and features.

Featuring a multi-touch screen, rear touch panel, front and rear-facing cameras, and accelerometer, the PlayStation Vita is set to deliver an experience that was never possible with the LittleBigPlanet franchise. Whether its adventuring through the new story of LittleBigPlanet on the Vita, or creating your very own levels for distribution, these features will play a critical role in your experience with LittleBigPlanet on the PlayStation Vita.

During E3 2012, I had the opportunity to speak with Tom O'Connor, Lead Producer of LittleBigPlanet on the Vita, to learn more about Sackboy's upcoming adventure on the Vita and how the Vita's features will be implemented within the portable release.
