Classic Game Room - SOUL CALIBUR 4 for PS3 review Pt1, IV
  • 12 years ago
PART 1 of 2. Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of SOUL CALIBUR 4 on the PlayStation 3 PS3 video game console system. In this second part of the Soul Caliber review we'll look at the extensive and in-depth character creation options. You can start with a blank slate and make either a male or female character and dress them up like whatever psychopath martial arts ninja maniac you want. Changing their voice, cape, shoes, underwear, metal bikini, afro color, eye hue, alien skin tone, breast size, shoulder plate and baggy break dance pants are just some of the options in this game. Check out the different single player modes like arcade, storyline and tower battle. The gameplay footage shows the fighting styles of the different characters from the Soul Calibur universe and how they compete against each other using a complex matrix of button combinations and combos. This game is playable over the Playstation network on the Playstation 3 and over Xbox Live if you buy the Xbox 360 version of the game. No word on an Atari 2600 version yet bringing some old school retro styled video game action... maybe next year. The graphics and sound in SC4 are excellent as one might expect, the music is OK (the Star Wars music is awesome!) and they did nail the light saber sounds. Now that they added Trophies into the PS3 network (hello Gamer Points?) you can probably win bronze, silver, gold and platinum trophies although I didn't really play around with that. I'm sure you can win Gamerpoints on Xbox Live though. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The reviews on the HD series are reviewing PS3, PS2, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. XBLA. videos review reviews show Wii trailer
