CGRundertow BALLOON BOMBER for Arcade Video Game Review
  • 12 years ago
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Balloon Bomber, an arcade game from Taito. Balloon Bomber released to arcades in 1980, two years after Space Invaders and the same year as Missile Command. And I mention those two because, in a way, Balloon Bomber feels like a mixture of those classics. You're being fired upon by horizontally-moving enemies who gradually move closer and closer to you, like Space Invaders, and when your enemies strike, they leave big holes in the ground, like Missile Command. You play Balloon Bomber as a little tank thing. You can move from one side of the screen to the other, firing one shot at a time upward at your hovering enemies. This video review features video gameplay footage of the arcade game Balloon Bomber and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
