Whether it's Gradius, Salamander, Life Force, Parodius, Otomedius... the latter getting into rather cheesecakey territory, but that's neither here nor there. These games always want the experience that playing them in an arcade setting can provide: Fighting to survive (for your quarters), hearing the frenetic clacks of the joystick and the buttons, passers-by crowding around because you're kicking so much ass. Yeah. Every PlayChoice needs a copy of Gradius. Every. Single. One. (And maybe 1942 if you need some diversity.)
