Hillary Clinton arrives in Russia

STORY: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia's second biggest city, on Thursday.

After her arrival, she laid wreath at the monument devoted to the Soviet heroes of World War Two.

Clinton heads a U.S. Delegation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's Women and the Economy Forum (WEF) which kicked off on Thursday.

Members of this forum will focus on facilitating women's involvement in innovative economic growth and discuss the decreasing barriers to women's participation in strengthening the economy.

She is also expected to meet Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for talks, one day before they attend an international conference on Syria's future slated for Saturday in Geneva.
