Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 for the Sony PlayStation by Namco. For the fourth installment in Namco's series of arcade racing games, R4 made many marked improvements in graphics, a much wider selection of vehicles, split screen multiplayer, and an awesome single player grand prix mode. While it might not have the realistic touches and brands of Gran Turismo, R4 still stands strong as a fun and stylish alternative if you're not as interested in pure simulation.
