CGRundertow CONKER'S POCKET TALES for Game Boy Color Video Game Review
  • 12 years ago
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Conker's Pocket Tales from Rare and Nintendo for the Game Boy Color. If you only know Conker from Bad Fur Day, which is gaming's precursor to The Hangover, this E-rated trip to a fantasy land with smiling flowers and talking acorns may surprise you as much as finding a tiger in your bathroom. What's also interesting about Conker's Pocket Tales is that, while Conker would become known as a platforming character, it isn't at all a platformer. This is a top-down adventure game with virtually no platforming whatsoever. Playing as Conker the Squirrel before he became a binge drinker, you set off to save your girlfriend Berri from the aptly named Evil Acorn, who has kidnapped her and, worst yet, stolen all your birthday presents. This video review features video gameplay footage of Conker's Pocket Tales for the Game Boy Color and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
