Arthur Lally's Orchestra - Leave a Little For Me, 1933

Arthur Lally & His Orchestra with Vocal refrain by Sam Browne - Leave a Little For Me, Fox Trot from musical comedy "Yes! Mr. Brown", Panachord 1933 (UK)

Arlur Lally's belongs to one of many almost completely forgotten British dance bands of the early 1930s. Like Harry Bidgood's, Arthur Rosebury's, Jay Wilbur's, Jack Leon's or the long string of others, Arthur Lally's orchestra was a magnificent, highest class dance band. It's a mystery, why some artists fall into oblivion immediately after their artistic activito or physical presence ceases, while others don't - although both represent idfeally the same high level of artistic quality. Arthur Lally was a saxophonist and he was present on records predominantly on Decca label and sometimes under aliases (Decca-Dents, The Rhythm Maniacs).
