Landmines impede prosperity in S Sudan

On July 9 South Sudan will become a brand new nation having recently voted for independence from the North.

Officials are hoping to invest in local agriculture as a way of building the economy, but first they will have to clear away the landmines left behind by years of civil war.

Al Jazeera's Haru Mutasa reports from Central Equatoria state on some of the challenges facing the new nation.
