Argentina remembers its Falklands War fallen

There are over 230 Argentine soldiers who died in the Falklands War laid to rest at Darwin Cemetery in Buenos Aires, many of them in nameless graves.

Approximately half of the graves are inscribed with only "Argentine soldier, only known by God".

As it marks the 30th anniversary of the war, Argentina's government has announced it will look into identifying the remains. Before it does so, however, it will need permission from the British and the Falklands governments before it can proceed.

In addition to identifying the bodies, veterans groups want to invesitage how these soldiers died and if they were starved or tortured to death.

Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo reports from Buenos Aires.
