"Auld Lang Syne" is a Scottish poem written by Robert Burns in 1788. It is sung to the tune of a Scottish folk-song. It is often sung to celebrate the start of the new year at the stroke of midnight. It is about the days gone by and old friendship. Many a times lyrics in Burns Scottish is replaced by modern English. This karaoke version uses selected stanzas and in modern English.

The international Boy Scout movement, in many countries, uses it in diffent languages as a close to jamborees and other functions.
