China's film industry beckons westerners

The Shanghai Film Festival is drawing to a close in China, where the movie industry is big business.

The $1.5 billion industry is fast becoming a very attractive market for western film makers.

Media moguls have different objections. In Shanghai Rupert Murdoch called for the lifting of quotas for foreign films distributed in China. Each year, just 20 are allowed.

Chinese film revenues have jumped 10 fold in five years; after America's the market is the world's biggest. The race to claim a stake in it, is on.
