Comic book fans line up weeks ahead of Taipei 2012 Comic Exhibition

Hardcore fans started lining up outside the Taipei World Trade Center three weeks ago in the hopes of meeting their favorite comic book authors at the annual Taipei Comic Exhibition, which began on Thursday. With more than 420 booths, the 13th Taipei Comic Exhibition is the biggest event of its kind in the recent years. Organizers expect more than 550,000 visitors to join the fun.

Some 45 artists from Japan, Taiwan and China are scheduled to attend the show and meet with comic fans. Japanese voice actors are also attending the annual event. The event is being held at the Taipei World Trade Center's Exhibition Hall 1 until Aug. 14.
