CGRundertow SORCERY for PlayStation 3 Video Game Review
  • 12 years ago
Sorcery review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Sorcery from The Workshop and Sony for the PlayStation 3. Sorcery is a very familiar experience. It's a typical adventure game for the most part, but with a Harry Potter theme and motion controls. It all sounds promising, but the problem is Sorcery never goes beyond, "Hey, this is kind of like other better things." You play as a boy who is a sorcerer's apprentice, and it just comes off as generic. The characters are archetypical, and the same applies to the gameplay, in a sense. Nothing feels original, despite the clear production values. Sorcery took years to develop, and as a result, it's a very clean, very polished experience...if a very familiar one. This video review features video gameplay footage of Sorcery for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
