The Newshour Debate: The Drought Junket Exposed (Part 1 of 2)

They dodged TIMES NOW's questions and even got agitated when we caught them leaving on a holiday on taxpayers' money. They tried to tell us they were going on a 'study tour' to Argentina, they even made ridiculous comparisons to the money spent on Ajmal Amir Kasav, justifying why they should be sent abroad. But these claims of the touring MLAs, when their state is reeling under a drought, have fallen flat. Video proof with TIMES NOW shows how the MLAs are wining and dining, watching Tango performances in Buenos Aires, playing a cruel joke on those who voted them to power.

In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, panelists -- Dhananjay Kumar, BJP State spokesperson; Jayaprakash Hegde, MP Lok Sabha, Congress; TSR Subramaniam, Former Cabinet Secretary and Ramjee Chandran, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Explocity -- discuss if the holidaying MLAs on the drought junket should be punished the moment they return.
