A public memorial service has been held at the Washington National Cathedral for the life of astronaut, Neil Armstrong.
Former colleagues who also explored the boundaries of space paid tribute to the man who on July 20th 1969 commanded the Apollo 11 mission and took a giant leap for mankind when he became the first man to walk on the moon.
