Being 102 years old isn’t all that makes Margaret Dunning of Plymouth, Michigan special.

Back in 1949, Margaret bought her 1930 Packard 740 Roadster and has completely restored it to the gem it is today. “I love the old cars,” she says.

“I love the smell of gasoline. It runs in my veins.”

After four interior upholstery renovations and twenty two coats of hand-rubbed lacquer, the admiration she has for the car shows as the centurion still changes her own oil and spark plugs.

The Roadster was the first vehicle to score a perfect 100-point by the Classic Car Club of America.

She learned to drive at the age of 8 on her family’s farm outside of Detroit and officially received her license at age 12.

Margaret has been behind the wheel for 90 years and is a self-proclaimed lead foot and jokes, “It disturbs the policemen very badly, but it doesn’t bother me at all.”

“I’ve had a very interesting life in this old world,” she says.
