STORY: Hollywood favorite Michael J. Fox received a standing ovation when he took the stage at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 23). The television veteran quipped that laughter was indeed the best medicine.
Fox, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, walked the red carpet and posed for photographs before going onstage to announce the winner of the best comedy series.
The 51-year-old will be making a return to the small screen in a new series loosely based on his own life. It will begin shooting later this year.
