Coming up today on Nick's Gaming View: Resident Evil 6 shatters Capcom record despite poor reviews, Insomniac's Resistance franchise set to deliver an incredible package, and Cliff Bleszinski departs Epic Games for a new journey, THIS IS NICK'S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick's Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Despite the negative reviews received for Capcom's latest software release, Resident Evil 6, Capcom has officially announced that the initial worldwide shipment has exceeded the 4.5 million mark surpassing any other Capcom release with Resident Evil 5 coming in a close second with 4.4 million copies shipped in 2009. Based on the accelerated start of the survival horror video game series, Capcom estimates that Resident Evil 6 will cross the 7 million mark by the end of fiscal year 2013 making it the most successful Resident Evil title to date.

Continuing on successful video game franchises, Insomniac Games' Resistance franchise will officially deliver a package containing Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3 as well as all of the downloadable content released for both Resistance 2 and 3. Set at an attractive price of $39.99, the Resistance Collection is scheduled to release this fall enriched with a plethora of exotic weapons and insane multiplayer that players have come to expect with the Resistance franchise. Joining God of War and Ratchet & Clank, the Resistance Collection delivers an incredible value that any newcomer to the franchise should adopt for an action-packed warfare experience.

Speaking on action-packed warfare, Cliff Bleszinski, otherwise known as CliffyB, announced his departure from Epic Games as design director. Known as the God behind the massively successful Gears of War franchise, Cliff wrote a note to his fellow colleagues stating, "I've been doing this since I was a teenager and outside of my sabbatical last year, I've been going nonstop. I literally grew up in this business and now that I've grown up, it's time for a much needed break." Is CliffyB truly leaving the video game industry for good, or does he have a plan to reemerge within the industry? Only time will tell, but stay tuned to Nick's Gaming View for your daily access pass for all things gaming.
