Carnage on the streets in Idlib Province.

Amateur video out of Syria which could not be independently verified by Reuters appears to show the aftermath of an air raid by Syrian government forces.

Much of Idlib province, which borders Turkey, has fallen to the rebels as government ground forces have withdrawn. But like other rebel-controlled areas, it remains vulnerable to air strikes.

Rebels have few weapons to counter warplanes and artillery, but Western nations have balked at supplying anti-tank or anti-aircraft missiles without a credible opposition.

The footage comes amid reports that rebel forces killed at least 50 government troops in Hama. A bomb attack in Damascus killed at least 11 people and wounded dozens more, including children.

Some 32,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began last March.
