Fatal Labyrinth review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Fatal Labyrinth for Sega Genesis, available on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. I'm not shocked by the revelation that Sega made a roguelike for the Genesis. I am shocked by the fact that it was originally available only for a weird Genesis online multiplayer service offered only in Japan. (Which, I guess, would make it a Mega Drive online multiplayer service.) Still, it's a perfectly functional roguelike... though there's only one dungeon, it's some 30 stories tall, you can't save, gold is meaningless except for buying a better funeral service, and... wait, if you die, how does the gold get out of the dungeon to pay for the arrangements?
