Caviar Vending Machines Arrive in Los Angeles

New caviar vending machines debut in Los Angeles.

When you think of vending machines, you probably think of soda, candy, chips, or some other cheap snack.

Now some touch screen vending machines that sell caviar and other high price items have just been opened at a few locations in Los Angeles.

The machines also carry other high end products like truffles, esacargot, bottarga, blinis, oils, fancy gourmet salts and assorted items like Mother of Pearl plates, spoons, and gift box sets.

Prices on items from the vending machine range from up to 500 dollars to 50 dollars.

Caviar isn’t the only unusual choice in vending machines.

Earlier this year, a cupcake company in Los Angeles announced their plans for a 24-hour vending machine, which would offer customers couture confectionary goods at any time of the day or night.

Then there's the GOLD to go, which dispenses gold for cash. It literally is that simple - you put in your cash and you get your security-backed gold. You can get a variety of products including gold bars ranging from 2.5 grams in weight to 250 grams. The gold vending machine can be found in Atlantic City and Burj Khalifa.

Would you buy something like caviar or gold out of a vending machine?
