CGRundertow FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS for Xbox 360 Video Game Review

Fallout: New Vegas review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Fallout: New Vegas for Xbox 360 developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. Fallout: New Vegas is a double-sided coin of sorts. On one side you have a complex and fleshed out game through tactically thought provoking combat and a plethora of newly added sound RPG elements. On the other side of the coin you have a mess of technical short comings. The positives outweigh the negatives, but if you're a stickler for perfection then you'll likely be displeased. The Fallout universe is an alternate reality wherein an apocalyptic nuclear war has ravaged the American landscape. In this Fallout iteration the wastelands have moved from the east coast of Washington to the desert of the Mojave in Nevada. New Vegas is published by the same company that developed Fallout 3, but developed by Obsidian Entertainment, who is also well-known for developing role-playing games. As a result, New Vegas holds extremely true to the Fallout formula created by Bethesda with a mixture of first-person shooting and tactical time-stopping appendage dismemberment. The time-stopping V.A.T.S. (Vault Assisted Targeting System) game mechanic alone will make Fallout easily stand apart from a traditional first-person shooter, and the first-person real-time action simultaneously make the game differentiate itself from a traditional RPG as well. Thus, Fallout is truly a unique and enjoyable experience through both gameplay and a mixture of themes that are brought together brilliantly. This video review features video gameplay footage of Fallout: New Vegas for Xbox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Steve.
