With worldwide sales of over 22 million albums, the Scorpions are by far the most successful rock band ever to come out of Germany.
Moment Of Glory began life as a studio album recorded in 2000 on which the Scorpions performed their best known tracks plus a couple of new songs accompanied by the renowned Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. This album was released on EMI. Later that year the band performed many of the songs from the album plus some of their other classic tracks at the Expo 2000 in their home city of Hamburg, again accompanied by the BPO.
Both the album and the concert feature guest vocals by Ray Wilson of Genesis on Big City Nights and Lyn Leichty on Here In My Heart. In addition the album features vocals from Zucchero on Send Me An Angel.
