Hundreds Flock To Get Married On Chinese 'Love You Forever' Day

Many couples across China flocked to tie the knot on Friday, January 4, 2013, or 2013/1/4, a consonant association of "love you forever" in Chinese.

Though the temperature dropped to around zero degrees Celsius in the morning, hundreds of couples chose to wait in the long line, some even showing up before the marriage registration center opened, to make their love official.

According to the head of one Marriage Registration Center, the office is expected to receive some 800 couples on Friday, a number much higher than the usual 40 to 50.

The special day brought out young and old couples alike.
