Players control Bubby or Bobby hop through colorful arcade style levels to stun enemies using a magic parasol and then throw them around the screen for points, fruit, beer, ice cream and other assorted sweets. Game play is fast paced and challenging as players attempt to dodge pink unicorns, octopi and mechanized monsters on their way through planets above Rainbow Island. According to the manual, long ago there was a courageous warrior who entered a cave of monsters in order to seal it forever. Unbeknownst to him a monster escaped before the cave was sealed and that monster trained and trained! The monster known as Chaostikahn broke the seal and unleashed the cave full of monsters to terrorize the world. Bubby and Bobby, who received magic parasols from the inhabitants of Rainbow Island from an earlier adventure, received a distress signal from nearby planets being terrorized by horrible monsters! The two boys raised their parasols into the sky and disappeared to fight the universal threat of monster invasion. Parasol Stars is playable one or two-player (simultaneously) and scores like an arcade game. Credits can be earned and used to continue.
