Primal Fears review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Primal Fears for PC developed by DnS Development and published by DnS Development. From the developers of Dead Horde comes Primal Fears. Both are games with fundamental aspects tied into old-school top-down shooters. Both are endeavors that don't attempt to innovate, which there is nothing wrong with setting out to attempt something that's been done before but in your own way. After that execution however, it stands out even more when the undertaking misses the status quo, which happens to be the case with Primal Fears. At its core Primal Fears is a rudimentary top-down shooter, you point in a direction and shoot at enemies. It has a thick, eerie atmosphere complimented by seamless multiplayer integration, but misfires on the gunplay and combat which should be the highest quality aspect of a shooter. As an idea and presentation, Primal Fear has some potential, but as far as run-n-guns are concerned, this one's shooting blanks and tripping over its own feet.
