Grand Theft Auto V Dated and Detailed - Nick's Gaming View Episode #128

Grand Theft Auto V dated and detailed, upcoming AAA PS3 exclusive receives its very own console bundle, and Battlefield 4 details teased, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Unarguably the largest video game release of 2013, Grand Theft Auto V, has finally received an official release date, but for those expecting Rockstar Games to follow through on their previous statement of a Spring release, I hate to be the one to deliver the disappointment. Officially releasing on store shelves September 17th, of 2013, Grand Theft Auto V’s delay has been backed up by the fact that the latest in the Grand Theft Auto franchise will feature the “deepest, most beautiful and most immersive world yet.” Having to wait until the later half of the year is certainly disturbing for those patiently waiting for this Spring, but at least we know Rockstar is serious about delivering the best Grand Theft Auto to date.

As we wait for the massive Rockstar release, owners of Sony’s PlayStation 3 are in for a treat when God of War: Ascenion launches March 12 of this year delivering online multiplayer for the first time in the history of the franchise. For those who have yet to adopt the PlayStation 3 or feel the need to add another one to their collection, Sony has announced a limited edition God of War: Ascension Legacy Bundle including a 500GB Garnet Red PlayStation 3 console, the entire God of War storyline including God of War: Ascension and God of War Saga (which includes all five of the previous games from the franchise) and a 30-day PlayStation Plus trial membership all for the price of $349.99 with a day-and-date release of March 12th. Must say, as a huge God of War fan, I am quite tempted by such a package despite already being an owner of a PlayStation 3.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, the much awaited release of Battlefield 4 from Electronic Arts remains distant from launch, but EA has officially stated that further details will release “in about 90 days when we get to show you some Battlefield stuff.” Seems sort of odd with 90 days hitting right before E3 2013, but who knows what EA has up their sleeves, maybe they are leaving E3 solely for next-generation announcements ;)
