Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 for Playstation 2 developed and published by Capcom. Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 is a lot like the original RE Outbreak and feels more like an expansion pack than a true sequel. The game keeps the same idea of Outbreak, the player being one of a handful of survivors working to escape from Raccoon City before being overtaken by the T-Virus or eaten by zombies. But the game simply brings new and exciting locations to navigate through, from the forest and zoo, to returning favorites like the police station and Umbrella Labs. The gameplay style is also classic Resident Evil, with difficult camera angles and more of a focus on puzzles rather than combat. The game is dark, gripping, and intense, and a great reminder of why people fell in love with Resident Evil in the first place.
