Dead pigs found in Chinese river rises to over 2,200

A gruesome find in one of Shanghai's main sources of drinking water.
Over 2,200 pig carcasses were found in the Huangpu river over the weekend, triggering a public outcry in China where concerns over environmental pollution already run high.
Locals say dead pigs in the river are a daily sight, but never in such huge numbers.
This woman says her village established a treatment pond where farmers can dump dead pigs for processing, but she blames nearby villagers for not doing the same.
"The situation here is definitely terrible. Some villagers are not self-disciplined. Our village fixed the situation by encouraging villages to throw them where someone takes charge of them. But it's pretty far and not that convenient. So they put dead pigs on a bicycle and they throw them wherever it's convenient for them."
