Earlier rumors claiming Microsoft Xbox 720 may release an "always-on" device has resulted in Microsoft's creative director Adam Orth's resignation.

Orth got into it with critics of the potential change during a Twitter tirade. He tweeted, "why on earth would I live there?" when addressing Xbox fans from Janesville, WI and Blacksburg, VA who reminded him that a good internet connection isn't available for all to use. Guess being a douchebag on Twitter really hurts your career.

The Microsoft drama started brewing after rumors of an 'always on' console hit the web. Fans took their outrage to Twitter where Microsoft's creative director Adam Orth dished the hate back, dissing individuals who may have limited access to the internet.

Microsoft quickly issued a public apology to their loyal fans and followers in which they coldly referred to Orth as 'this person'.

On top of all the Twitter drama, Orth was also getting death threats via LinkedIn. Adam Orth is no longer with Microsoft, according to a close source, he resigned and was not fired.

Do you think Adam Orth should have resigned? Leave your answers in the comments.
