The aunt of Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev says her nephews are innocent.

Patimat Suleimanova who lives with her husband Muhamad in Russia said there was no way the two could have carried out the attacks.

She said younger brother Dzhokar was a kind boy who "opened her soul" to children and also praised older brother Tamerlan who visited her last year.

She said Tamerlan was determined to learn to read the Koran.

"He didn't fit into our circle at all in the beginning. But then he adapted," she says.

The brother's uncle who prayed during the interview said he could not talk about the accusations.

He said he was just praying for a better world.

The brothers, ethnic Chechens who grew up in Kyrgystan and Russia before moving to the US are accused of killing three people and wounding more than 170 in two blasts at the marathon last Monday and later killing a police officer.
