This is the Nintendo version of Thunder Force III, or more likely the SNES version of Thunder Force AC which is the arcade version of Techno Soft's Thunder Force 3. Thunder Spirits is a side scrolling shoot 'em up (or SHMUP) for the 16-bit SNES which is very similar to Thunder Force III except with the SNES music style, no choosing levels and a few other differences.
