Border Patrol chief departs agency as Trump moves to build wall

The Chief of US Border Patrol has departed the agency, according to Customs and Border Protection. The announcement made today doesn't make clear whether Chief Mark Morgan was asked to step down or resigned. Morgan's departure is not uncommon in a presidential transition, but it does come at a time when Trump is moving to fulfill his promise of building a border wall. The head of the Transportation Security Administration, Peter Neffenger, also left in the transfer of power.
