Resistance is a Belgian extreme metal band founded in Belgium by Benoit Sizaire (Bass) in 2004. Initially starting out as a “Straight to your face” hardcore band, their style quickly evolves after drummer Jonas Sanders (Pro-Pain, Komah) joined in 2008 and lead guitarist Shaun Van Calster (Length of Time) in 2011, turning the band into the full on death metal beast it is today, with only traces left of their hardcore debut.

With four albums released, three of them produced by Xavier Carion (ex-Channel Zero), the band gained a strong reputation over the European scenes by headlining tours or supporting bands like Kataklysm, Pro-Pain, Misery Index, Sepultura, Death Angel, Belphegor, All Shall Perish …

Celebrating ten years of existence in 2014, Resistance is coming back with a fifth album entitled “THE SEEDS WITHIN” engineered by Gerald Jans @ Noise Factory Studio, Wierde, Belgium, mixed and mastered in Oakland, CA by Zack Ohren. So, be ready for 10 brand new tracks, more brutal than anything Resistance has written before!
