Xbox One pre-orders break retailer record, Sony employees react to ‘no DRM’ campaign for PlayStation 4, and Saints Row IV: Commander in Chief Edition unveiled, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Despite the negative publicity flowing around the media regarding Microsoft’s recently announced Xbox One, Blockbuster has reported that the successor to the Xbox 360 has broken the retailer’s pre-order records after 24 years of operation. I must say, discovering such news has left me shocked and I still have a hard time comprehending such information, but the true success of the console will come when the console launches later this year.

With a large percentage of Xbox One’s negative publicity materializing from the idea of Microsoft imposing DRM on the console, the large PlayStation fan base has emerged on Twitter with their #PS4NoDRM campaign in an attempt to keep Sony from following suit. Seeming promising, a few big names from Sony responded with statements such as “This is why I love PlayStation fans-the passion bucket overflows #playstation” and “Humbled by the outpouring of passionate PlayStation fans and their willingness to talk to us directly. Please know that we hear you.
