Karateka is an HD remake of the original karate game from Jordan Mechner about saving the princess, and after all these years, not much has changed. The game features heroes who are on a journey to save the princess. The game is simply fights between the hero and other opponents in one on one fights. But the game is not as aggressive as other beat 'em ups, having defense be the most important. The player can block and counter, which then opens up the chance to do damage. The biggest problem with the game is the length, as the game can easily be completed in under an hour.
