Dog House Blues Dutch Swing College 1970
This is clip from a friend in the Netherlands. Here is the Dutch Swing College Band in 1970 playing in a TV show celebrating their 25th anniversary.
They play a tune which already was on their repertoire in 1945. In the band we see Peter Schilperoort clarinet, Bert de Kort cornet, Dickie Kaart trombone, Arie Ligthart guitar, Chris Smildiger bass and Huub Jansen drums.
This clip was a copy from the only surving video of this broadcast. Unfortunately the original Ampex video tapes were so expensive that the TV companies decided they would tape over the recordings for another program after the broadcast. Only this rather grainy copy survived.
