Grand Theft Auto V is perhaps is the biggest thing in the history of things. That's a statement you can take to the bank, and then rob that bank and assassinate its tellers one by one. Because that's Grand Theft Auto V. Released in 2013, the game immediately set retail records for video game sales, earning $800 million in its first 24 hours. The game is, again, an open-world action game with an emphasis on total freedom. But this time, players control three different players with three intersecting stories. Michael is the middle-aged ex-criminal, Franklin is the young thug and Trevor is the genocidal madman. You take them through the streets of Los Santos, easily one of the largest in-game worlds ever conceived, and do whatever you please. There is more to do in Grand Theft Auto V than even seems reasonable. While the gameplay itself is similar to prior GTA games, this version does character and story better than perhaps any GTA to date. Each character has an interesting story, and although the gameplay itself is less interesting, the draw is watching those stories unfold while robbing strangers and stealing cars. Grand Theft Auto V features single-player and online multiplayer.
