Puddle is less a video game than a simple science experiment. You have a puddle of liquid, and you have to move it without touching it. Players can tilt the stage to the left and right to allow gravity to do its work, but that’s it. Using your wits alone, you have to find a way to get as much of the liquid as you can to the end-of-level goal. Each level seems to throw new twists at you, as well. One liquid may evaporate when exposed to heat, but another may explode. One level may have liquid spilling all over the place, but the next may force you to keep it in a beaker. The game’s concept never changes, but it constantly gives you new ways to do it. Puddle comes to the Wii U in an upgraded form, as well, featuring better graphics and performance. The Wii U version also includes all the previously available add-on content, not to mention optional motion controls and the ability to play off-screen with the GamePad. This video review features video gameplay footage of Puddle on the eShop for the Nintendo Wii U and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
