LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game for the Nintendo GameCube developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Eidos Interactive and LucasArts.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away…actually, it was just 2005, and it was on Earth. The point is there was a time when LEGO games were a thing, and this is the one that made them a thing. LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game was the first of the major licensed LEGO games in the insanely popular line that now includes everything from Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings. And even back then, the formula was still the same—turn a beloved universe into LEGO and infuse it with buckets of LEGO charm and simple, addictive gameplay. LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game lets you play through major moments of the prequel trilogy, only with more action and less trade tariffs. The Phantom Menace, The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith are covered, and you can go back and forth between them whenever you want, collecting thousands of shiny LEGO studs along the way. LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game is a classic of its generation, and it still holds up today.

This video review features video gameplay footage of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game for the Nintendo GameCube and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
