A number of Smart Car owners in San Francisco were surprised to find their vehicles tipped over. All four vehicles were found tipped one way or another in the Bernal Heights neighborhood on Monday.

The first car was found at around 1 a.m. flipped upside down. Police came across a second car on its side 10 minutes later. The third was found tipped vertically with its trunk on the ground around 1:30. The fourth and final victimized car was found on its side at 9 a.m.

All of the vehicles had shattered windows and minor body damage. For those who are wondering, a Smart Car weighs about 1,800 lbs and unlike a cow, it actually can be tipped on its side.

Some see the act as merely a prank but others have suggested it may have been done in response to the rising cost of living in the area following the tech industry's success.

Police are looking for several suspects wearing black hoodies who were spotted in the area.
