Gunman shot dead by mother of his victim in Queens, New York

Some parents like to claim they would take a bullet for their child, but a Queens, New York mother was fully prepared to do just that after her son was shot in front of her very own eyes after an argument over a parking space got out of hand.
Darrell Lynch, 24, and his mother were walking back toward his SUV on Tuesday evening when a gunman approached them and opened fire, hitting Lynch in the leg.
According to a New York Post report, the bullet severed his femoral artery, causing significant blood loss.
That's when his mother Carolyn Dixon, noticing her son had dropped his handgun scooped up the weapon and began blasting away at the fleeing gunman and attempted to give chase.
Sadly though, her son, despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, later succumbed to his injuries.
Lynch's killer remains at large.
