Future Cop: L.A.P.D. review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Future Cop: L.A.P.D. for the PlayStation developed and published by Electronic Arts.

It’s the future. And if you’ve watched any movie from the 1980s, you know the future is a pretty gritty place. Especially in cities like Los Angeles. And that’s why the world needs a Future Cop. Originally released for the PlayStation, Future Cop: L.A.P.D. is a top-down shooter in which players control a mech that’s half Robocop and half Optimus Prime. In addition to your normal mech mode, you can also transform into a fast-moving hover craft, which comes in handy in the future. Your mech also comes stocked with a machine gun, a grenade thrower and a missile launcher. It’s kind of ridiculous. The main campaign mode features eight levels, and they all play out in a similar fashion. You eliminate enemy waves and progress through the level, blowing up buildings and opening gates whenever necessary. Mostly blowing up buildings, though. Future Cop: L.A.P.D. offers single-player and multiplayer game modes.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Future Cop: L.A.P.D. for the PlayStation and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
