Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Bloody Roar for the PlayStation developed by Hudson Soft and published by Sony. Released to arcades as Beastorizer, which is the greatest name ever conceived, Bloody Roar made a name for itself on consoles, too. This 3D fighter has an interesting gameplay hook, allowing characters to transform into other characters—specifically, raging beasts. Once players fill up a gauge, they can make the change into a literal “beast mode,” which opens up more powerful attacks. You can also activate a rave mode that makes your character even more powerful, but it also makes you more vulnerable to attack. The game also has a nice variety of modes, including arcade and versus play with a slew of supplemental modes like time attack, practice and survival. Bloody Roar features single-player and local multiplayer play on the PlayStation. This video review features video gameplay footage of Bloody Roar for the PlayStation and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
