Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Cool World for the Super NES developed by Painting By Numbers and published by Ocean. Ralph Bakshi’s controversial Cool World didn’t leave much of a mark with critics, and neither did its Super NES adaptation. This 1993 action/platformer puts players in the role of Jack Deebs as he makes his way through the world of the film. After each level, players must complete a driving level to advance to the next. None of the levels are very long, and the entire game can be completed in roughly an hour. Cool World’s controls and design can be a little frustrating, but fans of the movie should enjoy this romp through Bakshi’s seedy animated world. Cool World is a single-player game. This video review features video gameplay footage of Cool World for the Super NES and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
