Dragon’s Lair: The Legend review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Dragon’s Lair: The Legend for the Game Boy developed by Elite Systems and published by Epic Records.

Following the groundbreaking release of Dragon’s Lair, there was a desire to bring the arcade game to various platforms. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible given the state of console technology at the time, so new games were made with the Dragon’s Lair name. Most of them paled in comparison to the original, but Dragon’s Lair: The Legend is arguably one of the worst. This flawed platformer plays slow and breaks many of the core rules of platforming—specifically, you don’t even have to jump on the platforms. Throw in lots of technical issues, and it’s easy to see why this game never reached the heights of its arcade predecessor. Dragon’s Lair: The Legend is a single-player platformer on the original Game Boy.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Dragon’s Lair: The Legend for the Game Boy and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
